Job Description:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced, capable and pro-active Residential Home Manager to open a brand new medium sized Care Home in the Holmes Chapel area. The home is one of a larger portfolio belonging to a leading care provider. This is a full time Residential Home manager position working 5 days. My client are one of the North West’s leading residential care home groups and provide quality, person centered care across its portfolio of Nursing and Care homes within the North West and Yorkshire Regions. I am seeking a talented and experienced Home Manager to oversee the grand opening of this purpose built state of the art home. Commissioning experience is desirable but not essential.

Job Requirements:
As the Residential Home Manager you will be a role model in everything you do and represent the home professionally with a wide range of stakeholders and external contacts. The Residential Home Manager will use strong creative and marketing skills to proactively promote the home in the local community, ensuring the high reputation of the home is communicated to potential residents and referrers.

The Residential Home Manager will be expected to provide strong leadership to a team who care passionately about the residents in their care. The Residential Home Manager will do this by inspiring a culture of continuous improvement and robust two-way communication to ensure that residents’ care and social needs are met in a person-centered way. The Residential Home Manager will be expected to develop the home and recruit a strong staff team so you must be confident in presenting your vision and creative ideas for the home and support the team to build on the excellent work already done at the home.

As Home Manager you will engage with the Regional Managers to support growth of the business and lead your team to achieve maximum performance against commercial and financial goals. You must also ensure the home meets all regulatory and statutory requirements including CQC, health and safety and COSHH, in compliance with the appropriate Acts.

Skills/ Qualifications:

• The Residential Home Manager should have recent proven Home Manager experience.
• Experience of trouble shooting and improving and raising standards.
• Previous commissioning home manager experience is desirable but not essential.
• NVQ Level 5 (or working towards).
• Current ‘Good’ rated CQC reports.
• Excellent communication skills.

Benefits:

The Residential Home Manager position offers a generous salary of circa £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience plus market leading bonus scheme and benefits package.
