Purosearch are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Children's Home Manager for a small service for children and young people with complex needs and challenging behaviours within a large established organisation. The home is based Huddersfield: A vibrant town nestled in the heart of West Yorkshire, known for its rich industrial heritage and stunning landscapes. Huddersfield boasts excellent transport links, including a centrally located train station with connections to major cities like Manchester, Leeds, and London, as well as convenient bus services serving the local area and beyond.
Job Requirements for the Children's Home Manager Role:
•The registration and development of a new children's service
•To manage and promote team development and effective team working
•To set and review targets and objectives for the home's staff team
•To promote the practice of working in partnership with young people and their families
•To ensure the highest standards of care, safety and well being for the children
The suitable candidate for the Children's Home Manager will have:
•Have at least two years in a role supervising staff
•A minimum of 2 years' experience in a position relevant to the residential care of children Working as a Deputy Manager
•Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (Or equivalent)
•Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare
•Full driving licence is essential
•To be able to provide consistency of care and support to the young people
•Experience working with children who may display challenging behaviour
•Flexibility around the rota, covering when needed.
