Unit Manager – Care Home
Location: Thetford
Reports to: Home Manager
Salary: £32,000 - £33,000
Are you an experienced leader in the care sector, passionate about delivering exceptional care and supporting your team to be their best? We’re looking for a dedicated Unit Manager to join our friendly and professional team.
As a Unit Manager, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the Home Manager with the daily running of the home. You’ll lead by example, ensuring that every resident receives the highest standard of person-centred care while maintaining compliance with CQC regulations.
What you’ll do:
Support the Home Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the care home.
Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of nurses and carers to deliver consistent, high-quality care.
Ensure care plans and practices meet CQC standards and strive towards an Outstanding rating.
Build strong relationships with residents, families, colleagues, and external professionals.
Actively contribute to care delivery and ensure the wellbeing and happiness of every resident.
Help drive continuous improvement and support staff development within your team.
What we’re looking for:
Proven experience as a Unit Manager or in a similar leadership role within the care sector.
Strong understanding of CQC standards and a commitment to achieving excellence.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A supportive and motivating team leader with good coaching and mentoring abilities.
Passionate about person-centred care and resident wellbeing.
Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards this qualification).
