I am currently recruiting on behalf of a well-respected veterinary group that has been established within the local community for over 40 years. This excellent team prides themselves on providing the highest quality Veterinary Medicine and client support and are now looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their night team who shares their values, prioritising patient care and practising in accordance with the highest clinical standards. Currently operating across a 24-hour, Tier 3 hospital and 4 smaller branch surgeries, they are well equipped to provide a vast array of veterinary treatments to their loyal customer base. The existing team is experienced, dedicated and extremely competent. The practice is currently home to several certificate holders operating across a variety of clinical disciplines.

You’ll be joining an experienced team of veterinary professionals. With a varied workload, you’ll be able to develop your skills and experience and progress within the company. The Veterinary group not only look after their own OOH but also cover many other local practices ensuring an enviable and varied case load. The hospital is close to the M62 and will be an easy commute from surrounding area.

The practice:
They set their own very high standards with the objective to provide the best care for pets and their owners. They offer superb clinical facilities including:
• Digital X-Ray
• Ultrasound
• Flexible and rigid endoscope
• Full lab facilities
• Dental suite and Dental X-Ray
• Oncology Suite
• CT scanner
• Visiting MRI
• Separate wards for cats, dogs and rabbits.

The role:
7pm – 8am – 17 weeks per annum. This works out at an average of 7 on 14 off but there is some flexibility on this. You be supported by 1 RVN all night along with another until midnight and a kennel assistant. My client is also introducing a twilight rota so you will have the support of another Vet until around 1am.

The candidate:
You will be an experienced Vet (ideally 4 years plus) who is confident with emergency medicine and surgery. The role would suit a candidate working towards or that already has a certificate as you will have access to varied and interesting case load.
