We're looking for an enthusiastic Paramedic Prescriber to join our healthcare team in Derby. Key Responsibilities:

Telephone Triage Mastery: Efficiently conduct telephone triage, adeptly assessing patient needs and providing appropriate guidance, advice, or directing them to suitable services.
Comprehensive Face-to-Face Assessments: Conduct comprehensive face-to-face assessments, employing advanced clinical skills to diagnose and manage a spectrum of long-term conditions and minor illnesses.
Holistic Patient Treatment: Deliver effective treatments to patients displaying symptoms of minor illnesses and acute conditions, utilizing evidence-based practice and professional autonomy within established protocols.
Autonomous Clinical Practice: Work autonomously within defined guidelines, collaborating closely with supervising GPs, and exercising sound judgment in urgent care scenarios. Guidance and oversight from designated GPs will be available when required.
Clinical Decision-making: Analyze gathered clinical data from physical examinations and patient histories to initiate appropriate treatments, referrals, or hospital admissions as warranted.
Compassionate Home Visits: Conduct home visits when essential, ensuring patients receive optimal care in their residences when attending healthcare facilities isn't feasible.
Seamless Referrals and Coordination: Facilitate smooth referrals to secondary services, coordinating comprehensive patient care across various healthcare settings for holistic treatment.
Health Education and Promotion: Actively engage in community health education initiatives, advocating healthy lifestyle choices, and spearheading disease prevention strategies.
Requirements:

HCPC Registration: Candidates must hold current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) to be considered for this role.

Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency medical care to patients in a pre-hospital setting
- Assess patient conditions and determine appropriate treatment plans
- Administer injections and medications as needed
- Perform basic life support procedures, including CPR and defibrillation
- Utilize medical equipment and tools to monitor patient vital signs
- Follow established protocols and procedures for patient care
- Communicate effectively with team members and other healthcare professionals
- Document patient information and treatment provided accurately and thoroughly

Experience:
- Previous experience as a paramedic or in a similar role preferred
- Proficient in administering injections and medication
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology
- Ability to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with aseptic technique to prevent infection transmission
- Skilled in triage to prioritize patients based on severity of condition
- Capable of performing heavy lifting when necessary
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
