Salary: £45,000 – £55,000

Are you a passionate and experienced Children’s Home Manager seeking your next challenge? This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead in opening and managing a brand-new 2-bed EBD home in Liverpool.
Your expertise in delivering exceptional care and your focus on quality placements will ensure every child receives the best possible support — we value meaningful care over occupancy rates.
You’ll work alongside a committed and experienced team, including a supportive Deputy Manager, a knowledgeable Responsible Individual, and a hands-on owner with deep industry experience. Based in vibrant Liverpool — a city known for its culture, history, and excellent transport links (airport, rail, bus, and major roads) — the home is ideally located for both work and leisure.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring full compliance with all relevant legislation and policies.
- Lead, support, and motivate your team to provide exceptional care and outcomes for young people.
- Take a proactive role in recruiting, onboarding, and developing staff.
- Drive continuous improvement through training, supervision, and reflective practice.
This position is also an excellent step up for an experienced Deputy Manager ready to progress into a Registered Manager role.
Requirements
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Proven experience managing or deputising within children’s residential care.
- Ofsted registration experience and thorough understanding of regulations (desirable).
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- A genuine passion for improving the lives of children and young people.
