An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager to lead a brand new and bespoke service for adults and young people with learning disabilities, mental health needs or complex challenging needs in the Cumbrial area.

My client are a leader in offering supported living / residential services across the UK. They have a great reputation and are a not-for-profit company. A vacancy has arisen for a Service Manager to join the team in the Liverpool area to oversee their specialist service for adults and younger people with varying learning disabilities and complex needs.

The aim of the company is to provide their clients and their families with outstanding care, and support independence in order to support their clients to flourish.

Responsibilities of the Service Manager:
• To provide Leadership to the support team ensuring a proactive, positive and friendly approach with fresh new ideas.
• To provide coaching and mentoring, as required, so that our consumers are supported by professional staff.
• To ensure that multi-disciplinary risk assessments are completed when required.
• To ensure that the service is meeting CQC guidelines.

Accountabilities of the Service Manager:
• To uphold the values and mission of the company.
• Accountable directly through the regional managers structure.
• Accountable for own actions and the actions of your team
• Accountable to provide sound support and motivation to the staff team and support to the Regional Management Team.
• Accountable to lead a team in the right direction to achieve the organisations business goals.
• Accountable to produce professional standards of report writing and administration.
• Positive role model/mentor at all times.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Minimum NVQ Level 3.
• NVQ Level 5 Leadership and Management (or working towards).
• Experience managing Extra Care / Supported living services.
• Experienced working with adults and younger people with vary needs: LD/MH.
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
