Position: Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Location: Chorley, Lancashire

Salary: £55,000- £60,000 per annum (DoE)

Job Summary:
My client is seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, highly motivated individual to the role of Advanced Nurse Practitioner. You will be joining a well-established team in a well-established practice. The ideal candidate will be an independent, Non-Medical Prescriber and ideally have worked in Primary Care before, although we are happy to support and develop peoples knowledge and skill set.

Key Responsibilities:

• In this role you will work independently, making professional, autonomous decisions.
• You will be responsible for making any necessary referrals, requests for investigations and do these in in an appropriate manner and timescale.
• The role will involve initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment plan and evaluation of patient care.
• The role will involve independent prescribing within the scope of professional practice.
• The advanced nurse practitioner will support the GP team managing same day appointment requests from patients.
• The nurse practitioner will need to prioritise and triage the needs of patients accordingly, seeking GP input as appropriate where the problem lies outside their professional capability.
• You will demonstrate safe clinical decision making and a high level of independent care including assessment, diagnostic and prescribing skills.
• You will attend patients with urgent medical problems.
