The Role

The Advanced Nurse Practitioner will work autonomously, assessing, diagnosing and treating patients presenting with a wide range of acute and minor illness presentations.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Independent assessment, diagnosis and management of patients
  • Prescribing where qualified
  • Managing same-day and urgent care appointments
  • Ordering and interpreting investigations
  • Referring patients appropriately within primary and secondary care
  • Health promotion and preventative care
  • Working collaboratively with the wider clinical team to deliver outstanding patient outcomes

Candidate Requirements

The practice is looking for an experienced clinician who is:

  • A Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
  • Qualified as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner
  • An Independent Prescriber (or working towards qualification)
  • Experienced within Primary Care or General Practice
  • Confident working autonomously while recognising when to escalate care
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional patient-centred care
  • A positive team player with excellent communication skills
