Are you on the lookout for an exciting opportunity in Residential Childcare?

This provider is thrilled to offer a compelling opportunity to become a Deputy Manager within a dynamic and expanding organization. Primarily, the role entails regular hours from 9 to 5, with occasional cover needed.

The compensation package includes £14 per hour for overtime and £65 for sleep-in shifts.

They currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to join their team as a Deputy Manager for a Children's Home in Kettering. This position is within a 4 bed home dedicated to children and young people with complex needs and challenging behaviours, operated by a reputable organization. It presents an exciting prospect for an experienced deputy manager to take on a rewarding new role with the potential to make a positive impact.

The role is based in Kettering, located in Northamptonshire, England, is renowned for its rich history, thriving automotive industry, and scenic countryside. It boasts excellent transportation links, including a railway station connecting to major cities like London, as well as close proximity to major roadways such as the A14 and A43.

Essential Requirements:

•Minimum of 2 years' experience working with young people in a residential care setting, including some supervisory experience
•Clear DBS check (please specify if you are on the update service or require a full DBS check)
•Strong team-working skills
•Ability to perform effectively under pressure
•Flexibility to adapt to changing and demanding shift patterns
•Level 3 or 4 qualification in Residential Childcare or equivalent

Main Responsibilities:

•Lead shifts with confidence and enthusiasm, ensuring the highest standards of care for our young people, and completing all necessary paperwork before concluding your shift.
•Facilitate effective supervisions to promote best practices within the home while providing support to our staff teams.
•Demonstrate active listening and a genuine interest in learning from young people.
•Ensure staff adhere to the company's policies, procedures, and Ofsted Quality Standard requirements.
•Effectively plan and organize your workload, assisting others to do the same, to achieve improved outcomes for young people.
•Conduct risk assessments and conflict resolution reviews/debriefs at the end of each shift.
•Continuously review performance against targets, identify gaps, and adjust plans accordingly to ensure targets are met.
