Registered Children’s Home Manager – 3-Bed EBD Home
Location: Swadlincote
Salary: Up to £55,000 (dependent on experience) + bonus scheme
Ofsted Rating: Good

Qualifications
Level 5 NVQ in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (or working towards)
Relevant Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People or Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Evidence of ongoing professional development in safeguarding, EBD, and therapeutic care
Full UK driving licence (preferred)
Key Requirements
Proven experience in a managerial role within a children’s residential home setting
Strong track record of supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD)
Ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff teams in a challenging care environment
Sound knowledge of Ofsted frameworks, Children’s Homes Regulations, and Quality Standards
Experience managing budgets, resources, and staff rotas
Confident decision-maker with strong problem-solving, safeguarding, and risk management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with young people and professionals
Desirable Skills
Experience achieving or maintaining an Ofsted rating of “Good” or “Outstanding”
Knowledge of recognised therapeutic models for EBD
Experience in service development, including supporting new or recently established homes
Competence in using care management and reporting systems to monitor outcomes and ensure compliance
