Children's Home Manager – 4 Bed LD Home

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

Location: Coventry

Good Ofsted Rating for every year of business

Full-time, permanent position

Successful Applicant

  • Holds a Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification in Children and Young People's Services (or equivalent)
  • Experienced in managing or deputising within a children's residential home
  • Background supporting children with Learning Disabilities, Autism and/or Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
  • Confident leading teams and driving positive outcomes for young people
  • Able to remain calm and effective under pressure
  • Passionate about making a lasting difference to the lives of vulnerable children and young people
  • Committed to delivering high-quality, child-centred care and maintaining regulatory compliance

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and management of a 4-bed children's residential home
  • Recruit, develop and lead a high-performing staff team
  • Ensure the home operates in line with Ofsted regulations and best practice standards
  • Promote positive outcomes and individualised care plans for children and young people aged 8-18
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment for residents
  • Manage budgets, staffing and operational performance effectively
  • Build positive relationships with families, local authorities and external professionals
  • Drive continuous improvement and maintain the home's strong reputation and standards
