Children’s Home Manager

Location: Curdworth, Warwickshire, B76
Salary: £50,000–£60,000 per annum, depending on experience
Home Size: 3-bed EBD Children’s Home

Salary & Benefits

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience managing a children’s residential home.
  • Previous experience achieving successful Ofsted outcomes.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a residential care team.
  • Experience working with children with EBD and a strong understanding of their individual needs.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective when working under pressure.
  • Strong organisational, communication and decision-making skills.
  • A determined and passionate individual who is committed to making a genuine difference to the lives of young people.
  • Flexible approach to supporting the needs of the home and shared management responsibilities.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and performance of the 3-bed EBD children’s home.
  • Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing residential care team.
  • Ensure the home operates in line with Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, safeguarding requirements and Ofsted expectations.
  • Promote a safe, nurturing and child-centred environment that supports positive outcomes.
  • Oversee care planning, safeguarding, risk management and the welfare of young people.
  • Manage staffing, performance, training and team development.
  • Build positive relationships with young people, families, social workers and other external professionals.
  • Monitor the quality of care and drive continuous improvement across the home.
  • Manage budgets, resources and operational performance effectively.
  • Prepare for and support Ofsted inspections, ensuring the home maintains high standards of compliance.
  • Work collaboratively with the senior management team to achieve organisational goals and maintain excellent outcomes for young people.
  • Participate in the shared management on-call rota.
