Children's Home Registered Manager
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum + additional bonus structure
Location: Rotherham, S60
Home Size: NEW 2-bed EBD

What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or extensive experience as a Deputy Manager within children's residential care
- Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations and safeguarding
- Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to recruit, develop and motivate a staff team
- Confident managing compliance, quality assurance and safeguarding
- Excellent communication, organisation and decision-making skills
- Child-centred and therapeutic approach to care
- Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or willingness to work towards it
- Commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the registration, opening and day-to-day management of the brand-new 2-bed EBD children's home
- Ensure the home meets all Ofsted, regulatory and safeguarding requirements
- Recruit, induct, supervise and develop a high-performing staff team
- Create a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment for children with EBD
- Develop and maintain high-quality care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding processes
- Manage staffing, rotas, budgets and the overall operation of the home
- Build positive relationships with children, families, social workers and other professionals
- Monitor quality of care and maintain strong regulatory compliance
- Prepare the home for Ofsted inspections and ensure continuous improvement
- Promote positive outcomes, independence and emotional wellbeing for children
- Work closely with senior leadership and contribute to the wider development of the service
- Develop towards the potential opportunity to become a dual Registered Manager as the organisation grows
