Senior Residential Support Worker
Location: Newark (NG24)
Salary: £31,259.00 - £36,044.04 per annum (£15.03 per hour)
Contract: Permanent

Shift Pattern
- Double sleep-in shifts
- 7:30am - 10:30pm followed by a sleep-in
- 3-week rolling rota
- One Saturday worked
- One Sunday worked
- One full weekend off every three weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise shifts, providing guidance and support to Residential Support Workers.
- Create a safe, caring and structured environment where children can thrive.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with young people through consistent care and support.
- Promote education, independence, life skills and positive behaviour.
- Support children through challenging behaviours using therapeutic and child-centred approaches.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of care plans, daily records, incident reports and other documentation.
- Plan and participate in activities that support children's social, emotional and educational development.
- Support young people with everyday life skills including budgeting, cooking, appointments and personal care where required.
- Work in partnership with families, social workers, education providers and external professionals.
- Mentor and support new and existing team members to ensure high standards of care are consistently delivered.
- Safeguard children at all times, following company policies and statutory guidance.
About You
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
- Be 21 years of age or over.
- Have a minimum of 12 months' experience working within a Children's Residential Home.
- Have experience leading shifts and supporting colleagues.
- Be passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.
- Possess excellent communication, organisation and record-keeping skills.
- Have a sound understanding of safeguarding and children's residential care legislation.
