Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Children's Home Manager to join our team in Derby. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in residential children's services and a passion for providing high-quality care and support to children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Children's Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the home.
- Ensure the highest standards of care are maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Support and mentor a team of residential care workers.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of each child.
- Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all residents.
- Handle administrative tasks such as staff rotas, budgeting, and record-keeping.
- Liaise with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for the children.
- Actively promote progression within the company and support staff through training and development.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in residential children's services.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Relevant qualifications in residential childcare (preferred but not essential, as the company will support you in obtaining these).
