Deputy Manager – Ofsted Children’s Care Home
Salary: Up to £35k per year
Location: Olton, Solihull (in-person)
Contract: Permanent, Full time

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Deputy Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home and ensure that exceptional standards of care are consistently delivered. You’ll lead and mentor staff, maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations, and foster a safe, nurturing environment for children.
We also offer a structured progression programme to support your development towards becoming a future Registered Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Registered Manager in the operational management of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and quality standards.
Lead and supervise a team of Residential Support Workers, providing guidance, support, and regular supervision.
Ensure care plans are tailored to meet the individual needs of each young person, promoting their emotional, social, and educational development.
Support in creating and maintaining a positive, homely environment that fosters growth and stability.
Work collaboratively with external agencies, social workers, and families to ensure the best outcomes for young people.
Assist in staff training and development, fostering a knowledgeable and motivated team.
Participate in on-call duties to ensure management support is always available.
Uphold and promote safeguarding policies to ensure all young people are protected and feel safe.

About You:
You have experience in a supervisory or senior role within a children’s residential setting.
You hold a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) and are willing to work towards Level 5.
You have strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and a passion for maintaining high-quality care standards.
You are an inspiring leader who can motivate a team and are deeply committed to supporting young people.
You possess compassion, resilience, and excellent communication skills.
