Position: Clinical Deputy Manager
Location: Near Crawley
Salary: Up to £48,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week (Combination of on-floor and supernumerary shifts)
Are you an experienced and compassionate nurse with a passion for leadership and dementia care? I am seeking a dedicated Clinical Deputy Manager to join a well-established nursing home near Crawley.
About the Role:
As the Clinical Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the home. Your responsibilities will include overseeing clinical standards, ensuring the highest quality of care, and leading a team of dedicated nursing and care staff. You will be working closely with residents, families, and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide person-centred care in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Home Manager in the overall management of the nursing home.
Lead and supervise the nursing and care team, ensuring high standards of care delivery.
Work closely with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans.
Conduct clinical assessments and audits to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
Provide hands-on care as needed, ensuring residents' physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Manage and mentor staff, promoting continuous professional development.
Oversee the management of medication and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Participate in the recruitment, training, and appraisal of staff.
Requirements:
Nursing PIN with the (NMC) is essential.
Proven experience in a Deputy Management role within a nursing home or similar healthcare setting.
Dementia care experience is essential, with a strong understanding of the challenges and best practices in dementia care.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work flexibly, including a mixture of on-the-floor and supernumerary shifts.
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
