Job Title: Deputy Manager - Residential Home
Location: West Malling, Kent
Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Manager to join a well-established residential home near West Malling. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of their facility, maintaining high standards of care, and leading a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the residential home, ensuring compliance with CQC standards and regulations.
Provide leadership and support to care staff, fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring individual needs are met and resident well-being is prioritised.
Conduct regular assessments and reviews to monitor the quality of care provided and identify areas for improvement.
Act as a point of contact for residents, their families, and external stakeholders, maintaining effective communication and addressing any concerns promptly.
Participate in recruitment, training, and performance management processes for care staff.
Be available for on-call duties as required, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to emergencies or unforeseen circumstances.

Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role within a residential care setting, with a sound understanding of CQC regulations and requirements.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver high-quality care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.
A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to problem-solve and make effective decisions under pressure.
Willingness to work on-call shifts as part of a rota system.
NVQ Level 4 or above in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
