Domiciliary Care Manager – Complex Care & Supported Living
Near Preston, Lancashire | £35,000 – £40,000 per annum
Are you an experienced Domiciliary Care Manager looking for a varied role where you can make a real difference across both domiciliary care and supported living?
We are recruiting for an experienced Care Manager to join a growing and supportive care organisation based near Preston, Lancashire.
This is a varied role, with approximately 60% of your time focused on domiciliary care and 40% on supported living, making it an excellent opportunity for a manager with a broad understanding of community-based care.
The Role
You will have responsibility for overseeing high-quality care across a range of services, including:
- Domiciliary care for elderly people and individuals living with dementia
- Complex care packages
- Supported living services
- Person-centred care and support within the community
You will work closely with care teams, service users, families and other professionals to ensure consistently high standards of care and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day delivery of domiciliary and supported living services
- Leading, supporting and developing care teams
- Ensuring care plans are accurate, person-centred and regularly reviewed
- Overseeing complex care packages and ensuring appropriate support is in place
- Monitoring quality, compliance and safeguarding
- Supporting recruitment, induction, supervision and ongoing staff development
- Building strong relationships with service users, families and professionals
- Ensuring services operate in line with CQC requirements and relevant legislation
- Responding effectively to changing care needs and service requirements
- Working collaboratively with senior management to develop and improve services
About You
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a domiciliary care management role
- Experience of managing complex care
- Experience within supported living
- Experience providing care and support to elderly people and individuals living with dementia
- Strong knowledge of person-centred care, safeguarding and compliance
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
- The confidence to manage multiple services and competing priorities
- A genuine passion for delivering high-quality care in the community
