The Role

As Deputy Home Manager, you will work closely with the Home Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the nursing home, ensuring residents receive safe, effective, and person-centred care.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the operational and clinical management of the home
• Leading and motivating nursing and care teams
• Ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and care standards
• Conducting clinical audits and quality assurance checks
• Overseeing care planning, medication management, and risk assessments
• Supporting staff recruitment, induction, supervision, and development
• Managing safeguarding concerns and clinical governance processes
• Driving continuous improvement and positive resident outcomes
• Building strong relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies

Requirements

To be considered for this Deputy Home Manager position, you must have:

• Active NMC registration (RGN or RMN)
• Previous experience within a nursing home or elderly care setting
• Experience as a Clinical Lead, Unit Manager, Deputy Manager, or Senior Nurse
• Strong knowledge of CQC standards and compliance requirements
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• A passion for delivering high-quality elderly and dementia care
