Location: Altrincham, Greater Manchester
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £60,000–£75,000 per annum + Performance Bonus (DOE)

We are looking for an experienced Nursing Home Manager to lead our well-established nursing home in Altrincham. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and motivated leader with a proven track record of delivering outstanding care, achieving regulatory compliance, and developing high-performing teams.

What you'll be doing

As the Home Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the clinical, operational, and financial performance of the home. You will lead by example, ensuring residents receive safe, high-quality, person-centred care while maintaining full compliance with CQC standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, motivating, and developing a dedicated multidisciplinary team.
  • Ensuring exceptional standards of nursing and residential care.
  • Maintaining full compliance with CQC regulations and quality standards.
  • Managing staffing, budgets, occupancy, and overall home performance.
  • Building positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and local stakeholders.
  • Driving continuous improvement and preparing the home for inspections.
  • Promoting a positive culture focused on dignity, respect, and outstanding care.

What we're looking for

Essential:

  • Previous experience as a Nursing Home Manager, Care Home Manager, or experienced Deputy Manager within elderly care.
  • NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent), or willingness to complete.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and adult social care legislation.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience managing budgets, occupancy, and service performance.

Desirable:

  • Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC PIN.
  • Experience managing a nursing home with good or outstanding CQC ratings.
  • Strong clinical governance and quality assurance experience.
