The successful Nursing Home Manager will inherit a stable, well-performing home with an experienced team, excellent occupancy and strong support from senior leadership.
We welcome applications from experienced Nursing Home Managers, Care Home Managers, Registered Managers, and experienced Clinical Managers or Deputy Managers who are ready to take the next step.
While a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) is preferred, we will also consider experienced Care Home Managers with a successful nursing home management background.

The Role – Nursing Home Manager
As the Nursing Home Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the operational, financial and clinical performance of the care home.
Working alongside an experienced senior leadership team, the Registered Manager will ensure the home continues to deliver exceptional standards of care while maintaining compliance, supporting staff development and achieving positive outcomes for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide inspirational leadership as the Nursing Home Manager.
- Ensure the care home remains fully compliant with CQC regulations.
- Lead, develop and inspire a multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain outstanding standards of clinical governance and quality assurance.
- Deliver exceptional person-centred care.
- Manage budgets, staffing levels and occupancy.
- Complete audits and oversee action plans.
- Develop and retain high-performing nursing and care teams.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, commissioners and healthcare professionals.
- Promote continuous improvement across all areas of the care home.
- Ensure safeguarding and medication management standards are maintained.
- Drive excellent customer service and resident satisfaction.
- Support recruitment, training and succession planning.
About You
To be successful as the Nursing Home Manager, Care Home Manager or Registered Manager, you'll have:
- Previous experience as a Nursing Home Manager, Care Home Manager, Registered Manager or experienced Deputy Manager within a nursing home.
- Experience managing a nursing or residential care home.
- Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations and clinical governance.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- A passion for delivering exceptional elderly care.
- Experience managing budgets, occupancy and quality standards.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Desirable
- Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC PIN.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care.
