Occupational Health Advisor – Warrington / Remote
Location: Warrington / Remote
Working Pattern: Full-time, 40 hours per week
On-site Requirement: 2 days per month in Warrington
Salary: £45,000–£48,000 per annum + annual target-driven bonus
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Occupational Health Advisor to join a growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an OH professional looking for a predominantly remote role, with just 2 days per month working on-site in Warrington.
You will provide a high-quality Occupational Health service to employees and managers, completing a range of occupational health assessments remotely from home, while working collaboratively with colleagues and clients to support employee health, wellbeing and attendance.
What You'll Be Doing
- Conducting up to 5 management referral case management assessments per day.
- Completing telephone and/or video-based Occupational Health assessments.
- Producing clear, accurate and evidence-based reports for referring managers.
- Providing advice around fitness for work, functional capacity, adjustments and sustainable return to work.
- Advising managers and employees on appropriate workplace adjustments and support.
- Managing cases independently while recognising when onward referral or specialist advice is required.
- Attending the Warrington client site 2 days per month to provide face-to-face Occupational Health support.
- Supporting health and wellbeing initiatives where required.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards.
- Working collaboratively with the wider Occupational Health team to deliver a consistent, high-quality service.
- Meeting agreed clinical, operational and performance targets.
About You
We are looking for an Occupational Health Advisor who is confident working autonomously and is comfortable managing a predominantly remote caseload.
You will ideally have:
- A recognised Occupational Health qualification at Diploma or Degree level.
- Registered Nurse status with a current NMC registration.
- Previous experience in Occupational Health, particularly management referral case management.
- Strong knowledge of workplace health, fitness for work and reasonable adjustments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to build strong relationships with employees, managers and clients.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload effectively.
- A professional, pragmatic and employee-focused approach.
- Confidence using IT systems and completing remote assessments.
