Occupational Health Nurse (Registered Nurse)
Location: Essex
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Salary: £36,000 – £38,000 per annum
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Health Nurse to join a growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an NMC Registered Nurse with a strong clinical background who is passionate about promoting employee health and wellbeing.
The role is primarily based across Essex and the surrounding areas, with occasional travel to client sites and the possibility of working from our client location in Tilbury. Previous Occupational Health experience is preferred; however, we welcome applications from experienced nurses with transferable clinical skills, particularly those with an Accident & Emergency background.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver a high-quality Occupational Health service to clients across a variety of workplaces.

Undertake health assessments, fitness for work assessments and health surveillance.

Conduct health screening, including blood pressure monitoring, vision testing, audiometry, spirometry and other health surveillance activities where required.

Carry out clinical assessments and provide evidence-based advice to employees and managers.

Support sickness absence management and employee wellbeing initiatives.

Administer vaccinations where appropriate and maintain accurate clinical records.

Provide health promotion and wellbeing advice to employees.

Maintain confidential and accurate documentation in line with NMC standards and GDPR requirements.

Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver an effective Occupational Health service.

Travel to client sites across London and surrounding areas as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.

A Degree in Adult Nursing.

Previous Accident & Emergency (A&E) nursing experience.

A strong clinical background with excellent assessment and decision-making skills.

Occupational Health experience is preferred; however, candidates from other relevant clinical backgrounds will also be considered.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.

Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic clinical record systems.

A flexible approach and willingness to travel to client sites, including occasional work in Tilbury.

A full UK driving licence is desirable.
