Paramedic Practitioner – Bracknell

A forward-thinking and friendly primary care team in Bracknell is looking to recruit a Paramedic Practitioner to support its growing and diverse patient population. This is a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced paramedic or a newly qualified practitioner seeking to develop their clinical skills in a general practice setting.

The Role:
The Paramedic Practitioner will play a vital role in enhancing patient access and supporting clinical services. Working as part of a well-established, multi-disciplinary team, the successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing a wide range of undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions. This includes taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, requesting appropriate investigations, and formulating treatment and management plans in partnership with patients.

The role will be primarily face-to-face and will involve seeing patients who have been triaged by care navigators as suitable for paramedic-led care. The practitioner will work closely with GPs, advanced nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and other clinicians to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced but supportive environment.

Key Duties:

  • Serve as a first point of contact for patients presenting with new or ongoing health concerns

  • Carry out clinical assessments and make safe, evidence-based decisions regarding diagnosis and treatment

  • Provide clear explanations and advice regarding diagnostic tests and treatment options

  • Contribute to the efficient flow of patients through the service and support the reduction of GP workload

  • Engage in case discussions, clinical meetings, and ongoing training to support personal development and team learning

About the Team:
The practice operates across multiple sites in Bracknell and serves a patient population of over 31,000. It boasts a strong team ethos and a collaborative working culture, with clinicians including GPs, paramedics, pharmacists, physiotherapists, and nurse practitioners. The team is committed to professional development and providing high-quality, patient-centred care.

Working Arrangements:

  • Full-time position preferred (37.5 hours per week)

  • Part-time or job share options will be considered for the right candidate

  • NHS pension and other standard benefits apply

This is a great opportunity to be part of a modern, progressive primary care setting where your skills and contributions will be highly valued.
