About the Opportunity
We are seeking an enthusiastic and confident Practice Nurse to join a friendly, forward-thinking GP practice that takes pride in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to its local community. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who is passionate about primary care and looking to develop professionally within a supportive environment.
The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team, contributing to chronic disease management, treatment room duties, and health promotion services.
Key Responsibilities
- Chronic disease reviews (e.g., asthma, COPD, diabetes – depending on skills/experience)
- Treatment room duties including wound care, dressings, ECGs, spirometry, and vaccinations
- Childhood immunisations and adult vaccination programmes
- Cervical cytology (if appropriately trained)
- NHS Health Checks and lifestyle interventions
- Supporting long-term condition management as part of a collaborative team
- Patient education, health promotion, and preventive care
- Maintaining accurate clinical records in line with practice policies and NMC guidance
What We’re Looking For
- Registered Nurse (NMC) with current pin
- Experience in a primary care or community setting (preferred but not essential)
- Confident in delivering evidence-based care and managing own workload
- Excellent communication, organisation, and clinical assessment skills
- A flexible, proactive approach and a genuine interest in improving patient outcomes
- Training in chronic disease management, cytology, or immunisations is desirable—but support can be provided for the right candidate
What the Practice Offers
- A supportive, collaborative clinical team including GPs, ANPs, HCAs, and administrators
- Opportunities for professional development and funded training
- Modern facilities and a well-structured working environment
- Competitive salary and benefits
- A practice culture built on teamwork, respect, and high-quality patient care
