Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly GP surgery team in Newark. You will deliver high-quality patient care within a supportive primary care environment.

This role offers flexible working hours with both part-time and full-time opportunities available.

Key Responsibilities

• Chronic disease management (asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypertension)
• Cervical screening (if qualified)
• Immunisations and vaccinations (childhood and adult)
• Wound care and treatment room procedures
• Travel health advice and vaccinations
• NHS Health Checks and preventative care
• Infection prevention and control
• Supporting GP partners with long-term condition reviews
• Clinical audits and quality improvement

Essential Requirements

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC PIN
• Experience in primary care or relevant clinical setting
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Competence in treatment room procedures
• Up-to-date mandatory training (Safeguarding, BLS, Infection Control)

Desirable Skills

• Chronic disease management experience
• Cervical cytology qualification
• Immunisation and vaccination experience
• Familiarity with EMIS or SystmOne

Working Pattern
