Practice Nurse – Flexible Hours
Location: Altrincham
Type: Part-time / Full-time (Flexible Hours)
Setting: GP Training Practice
Salary: £19 - £25 per hour
Overview
We are a well-established GP training practice in Altrincham seeking a motivated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse or a nurse looking to further develop their skills within a supportive, educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality treatment room services including wound care, dressings, ECGs, and venepuncture
- Deliver chronic disease management clinics (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, asthma/COPD)
- Administer adult and childhood immunisations in line with NHS guidelines
- Perform cervical screening (smear tests) and women’s health services
- Support health promotion and patient education initiatives
- Work collaboratively with GPs, ANPs, HCAs, and trainees within the practice
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold infection-control and safeguarding standards

Ideal Candidate
- Registered Nurse (NMC)
- Experience in primary care preferred, but full training can be provided for the right candidate
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Confident in delivering person-centred care within a busy primary care setting
