Children's Home Manager

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (plus bonuses)

Location: Salford

Property: Solo placement

Salford has excellent transport links, including major motorways (M602, M60), extensive bus and tram networks, and easy access to Manchester city centre and national rail services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establishing and managing a new, innovative residential care service.
  • Building and leading a cohesive, high-performing team.
  • Setting ambitious targets and delivering outstanding care outcomes.
  • Collaborating with families and partners to promote best practices.
  • Ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of children in care.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in staff supervision/management.
  • At least 2 years' experience in residential childcare, ideally as a Deputy Manager.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to achieve).
  • Full, clean driving license.
  • Proven ability to support young people with challenging behaviours.
  • Flexibility to cover shifts when required.
