Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (EBD)
Salary: £55,000–£75,000 DOE
Location: Stafford / Near Newport, Shropshire (excellent access from M54)
Contract: Full-time | Permanent
Our client, a small, family-owned and ethically driven children’s residential care provider, is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a specialist children’s home supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

The Role
As Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high-quality care, regulatory compliance, and positive outcomes for the children and young people supported.

Key Responsibilities
- Overall management of the residential children’s home
- Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a dedicated staff team
- Creating a safe, therapeutic, trauma-informed environment
- Managing referrals, placements, and professional relationships
- Oversight of staffing, budgets, rotas, and operational compliance
- Driving continuous improvement and positive outcomes for young people
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within children’s residential care
- Strong understanding of EBD, safeguarding, and children’s legislation
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or working towards)
- Experience with Ofsted inspections and regulatory frameworks
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Passion for delivering outstanding child-centred care
