Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home
Location: Crewe, CW1
Salary: £50,000 – £70,000 per annum, with potential to earn £85,000+ through performance incentives
Home Size: 3-bed EBD / LD

What We're Looking For
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or currently working towards it
- Level 3 qualification in Children's Residential Care
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a senior role within children's residential care
- Previous Registered Manager experience, or strong Deputy Manager experience ready to step up
- Experience working with children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs and/or learning disabilities
- Strong knowledge of the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Ofsted inspection frameworks
- Proven experience in safeguarding, care planning, risk management and staff development
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, support and hold a team accountable
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Full UK driving licence

Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the Ofsted registration process and prepare the brand-new home for opening
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and operation of the home
- Ensure the home remains compliant with the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
- Recruit, supervise, develop and retain a high-performing staff team
- Establish a positive culture centred around safeguarding, stability and child-centred care
- Lead by example and remain visible and actively involved within the home
- Oversee care planning, risk management and placement stability for each young person
- Ensure children receive consistent, nurturing and high-quality care tailored to their individual needs
- Build strong relationships with children, families, placing authorities and multi-agency professionals
- Promote positive outcomes across education, wellbeing, development and independence
- Monitor quality assurance and drive continuous improvement across the service
- Prepare for and lead the home through Ofsted inspections and monitoring activity
- Ensure safeguarding concerns, incidents and risks are managed effectively and in line with regulatory requirements
- Manage the home effectively against its Statement of Purpose and agreed operational standards
- Work closely with the wider leadership team to ensure the home has the resources, support and systems required to succeed
- Contribute to the continued growth and development of the organisation, with opportunities for progression into senior operational roles as the organisation expand
