Description
About the Practice
We are working with a small, well-established GP practice in Coventry looking to appoint a Salaried GP to join their close-knit clinical team.
This is a genuinely supportive practice with a strong focus on continuity of care, manageable workloads, and long-term patient relationships. The team is experienced, stable, and prides itself on maintaining a positive working environment with realistic daily expectations.
The practice serves a diverse patient population and benefits from a strong administrative and nursing team, allowing GPs to focus on high-quality clinical care.
The Role
As a Salaried GP, you will:
- Deliver routine and acute GP consultations (face-to-face and telephone)
- Manage a balanced daily workload with protected admin time
- Contribute to chronic disease management and QOF delivery
- Participate in duty doctor rota (light-touch and well supported)
- Work collaboratively with ANPs, nurses, and allied clinicians
- Support continuity of care for a defined patient list (where preferred)
About You
We are looking for a GP who values teamwork, continuity, and sustainable working patterns.
Essential:
- GMC registered GP with licence to practise
- Inclusion on (or eligibility for) the NHS Performers List
- Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
Desirable:
- Experience in UK primary care
- Interest in continuity of care or long-term condition management
- GP training or supervisory interest (not essential)
What’s on Offer
- Competitive £ per session rate (negotiable depending on experience)
- Flexible working – 4 to 8 sessions available
- Minimal home visits (covered or shared across team)
- No excessive admin burden – well-structured workflow
- Supportive, low-turnover practice team
- 6 weeks annual leave + bank holidays (pro rata)
- NHS Pension inclusion
- Dedicated CPD time and budget
- Option for long-term partnership progression if desired
Why This Practice?
This is a small, stable Coventry practice where GPs are genuinely valued. There is a strong emphasis on keeping workloads safe and sustainable, with a team culture that prioritises support over pressure.
It is an excellent opportunity for a GP seeking work-life balance, continuity of care, and a friendly practice environment rather than high-volume corporate-style primary care.
