Are you an experienced Registered Nurse, Practice Nurse, ANP or clinician looking to progress into an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) role?
We are recruiting on behalf of a highly supportive GP practice in Nottingham that is committed to developing clinicians into Advanced Clinical Practitioners. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates who have started Level 7 study, are working towards ACP status, or have the clinical experience but have not yet completed a full Master's in Advanced Clinical Practice.
Unlike many ACP vacancies, completion of the full MSc is not essential. The practice is happy to invest in the right individual through funded university modules, protected study time and ongoing clinical supervision.

About the Role
Working within a friendly and well-established GP practice, you will provide high-quality patient care while developing your advanced clinical skills.
The practice will tailor the role around your current level of experience, providing ongoing mentorship and structured development as you progress towards full ACP competency.
Responsibilities include:
- Autonomous assessment of patients presenting with acute and minor illness
- History taking and clinical examination
- Diagnosis and management planning
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic investigations
- Prescribing where qualified or working towards Independent Prescribing with support
- Health promotion and preventative care
- Working alongside GPs, ACPs, Practice Nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team
- Maintaining accurate patient records using electronic clinical systems
About You
We welcome applications from clinicians with a variety of backgrounds including:
- Registered Nurse (NMC)
- Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP)
- Practice Nurse
- Community Nurse
- Urgent Care Practitioner
- Emergency Nurse Practitioner
- Minor Illness Practitioner
- Primary Care Nurse
You may also have:
- Experience working within Primary Care, Urgent Care, Walk-in Centres, Emergency Departments or Community Services
- Completed Level 7 modules
- Be currently studying towards Advanced Clinical Practice
- Independent Prescribing qualification (desirable but not essential)
Applicants do not need to hold a completed MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice.
Candidates with relevant experience who are motivated to continue their ACP training are strongly encouraged to apply, as full support and funded development will be provided.
