Deputy Care Home Manager Job in Southampton
We are recruiting for an experienced Deputy Care Home Manager to join our established elderly residential care home in Southampton. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Senior Carer, Care Team Leader, or existing Deputy Manager looking to progress their career within elderly care.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience supporting older adults within a residential care setting and will possess strong leadership skills to assist with the day-to-day management of the home.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Home Manager in the daily operation of the care home.
- Lead and supervise care staff to deliver outstanding person-centred care.
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, policies, and best practice standards.
- Assist with staff recruitment, induction, training, and performance management.
- Monitor care plans, risk assessments, medication management, and resident wellbeing.
- Maintain high standards of care, safeguarding, and health & safety.
- Support occupancy growth, quality assurance, and continuous service improvement.
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (Essential)
- Previous supervisory or management experience within a care home.
- Extensive experience working in elderly residential care.
- Strong knowledge of CQC standards and care regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Passionate about delivering high-quality care for older people.
Desirable Requirements
- NVQ Level 5 Leadership and Management for Adult Care
- Previous experience as a Deputy Manager, Care Team Leader, Unit Manager, Senior Carer, or Senior Support Worker.
- Experience supporting inspections, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
