About the Home
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Care Home Manager to lead a well-established 28-bed residential care home in Dawlish, specialising in elderly care and dementia support.

The Role
As Care Home Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring full regulatory compliance, excellent care outcomes, and effective business performance.
You will lead and support a dedicated care team, foster positive relationships with residents and their families, and create a culture focused on dignity, respect, and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide visible and effective leadership across all areas of the home.
Ensure compliance with all CQC regulations and relevant legislation.
Maintain high standards of person-centred care for elderly residents, including those living with dementia.
Lead, motivate, recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team.
Manage occupancy levels and support local marketing initiatives.
Oversee budgets, financial performance, and resource management.
Build strong relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders.
Monitor and improve quality assurance systems and care outcomes.
Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are consistently met.
About You
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a residential elderly care setting.
Strong knowledge of dementia care and person-centred practices.
A proven track record of achieving positive regulatory outcomes.
Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
Sound understanding of safeguarding, compliance, and quality standards.
Commercial awareness and experience managing budgets and occupancy.
A genuine passion for delivering outstanding care and enhancing residents' lives.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards).
Experience managing services for older people and/or individuals living with dementia.
