Care Home Deputy Manager
Location: Southampton
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 per annum + Bonus (£40,000 OTE)

Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Care Home Deputy Manager to join a beautifully renovated residential and dementia care home located in Southampton. The successful candidate will assist in the management of the home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Care Home Manager in the overall management of the care home.
- Ensure the home meets and exceeds all CQC standards, maintaining a GOOD rating.
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care to all residents.
- Lead and motivate the care team to provide the best care possible.
- Conduct staff appraisals and supervisions.
- Manage staff rotas and ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained.
- Support with the recruitment and training of new staff members.
- Handle complaints and concerns from residents and their families.
- Promote a positive and inclusive environment for both residents and staff.
- Ensure all care plans are up to date and reflective of residents' needs.
- Work collaboratively with external healthcare professionals and agencies.
- Deputize for the Home Manager in their absence.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a Deputy Manager or Home Manager role within an elderly care setting.
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations and standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Relevant qualification in Health and Social Care (minimum Level 3, ideally Level 5).
