This provider is excited to announce the launch of our new Children's Learning Disabilities service, dedicated to delivering exceptional care, support, and opportunities for children with learning disabilities. They are currently seeking a passionate Deputy Manager to join our team.

This service is, designed for up to 8 children and young people, offers specialised care for both boys and girls facing unique challenges such as physical disabilities, learning difficulties, and complex health conditions. This is a provider that takes pride in their commitment to providing comprehensive, medium to long-term support for children and young people aged 4 to 18.

In this role, you will:
•Provide managerial oversight and direction to staff in their daily responsibilities.
•Assist the Registered Manager in implementing all aspects of the Statement of Purpose.
•Lead and support the staff team in meeting the needs of the children effectively, making informed decisions while on shift.
•Supervise new staff members during their probationary period.
•Work on a rotating schedule, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the young people.
•Identify and support the training and development needs of staff within their personal development plans.
•Meet the physical, emotional, behavioural, cultural, and educational needs of the young people in our care.
•Ensure that all staff members are aware of each child's placement plan and their role in its implementation.
•Act as a role model by demonstrating positive ways to manage behaviours associated with conditions like autism.
•Deputize in the absence of the Registered Manager.

Ideal candidates will have:
•A strong understanding of the developmental needs and milestones of young people with complex needs and/or learning disabilities.
•A Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People.
•At least 2 years of experience in a Senior or Team Leader role working with children and young people.
•The ability to communicate, engage, and form positive relationships with young people, parents/carers, and other professionals.
•Proven skills, knowledge, and experience in managing and leading a team effectively.
•The ability to produce clear, concise written reports and records, and present information verbally.
•A driving license (preferred but not essential).
•Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children and young people.
