Location: Leeds
Salary: £47,000 – £55,000

Purosearch is proud to be partnering with a highly respected organisation to recruit a Children’s Home Manager for a brand-new home in Leeds, supporting children and young people with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
This is a unique opportunity to shape and develop a new service from the ground up — bringing your expertise, passion, and vision to life in a rewarding environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading the setup and successful registration of a new children’s home
- Building and nurturing a high-performing team through strong leadership and staff development
- Setting clear objectives, conducting reviews, and driving continuous improvement
- Promoting a culture of collaboration with young people and their families
- Ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and wellbeing at all times
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role (e.g., Deputy Manager or equivalent)
- Proven experience working with children in residential care, including those with challenging behaviours
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
- Full UK driving licence – essential
- A compassionate, resilient, and flexible leader with a genuine desire to improve young lives
