Children's Home Registered Manager
Salary: Up to £55,000 + 10% KPI-linked bonus
Location: Birmingham, B20
Home Size: 4 Bed EBD (3 Children in Placement)

What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager within children's residential care
- Experience working with children and young people with EBD and complex needs
- Strong understanding of Ofsted requirements, Children's Homes Regulations and safeguarding
- Proven ability to lead and develop staff teams
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Ability to drive quality improvement and maintain high standards of care
- Understanding of care planning, risk management and safeguarding
- Experience working towards improving Ofsted outcomes
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or willingness to work towards it
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the 4-bed EBD children's home
- Provide strong leadership and support to the staff team
- Ensure children receive safe, nurturing and high-quality care tailored to their individual needs
- Maintain oversight of safeguarding, risk management, care planning and placement outcomes
- Lead the service through its current Ofsted improvement journey
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted requirements, Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
- Monitor and improve the quality of care, practice and outcomes across the home
- Recruit, develop, supervise and motivate staff to maintain a high-performing team
- Work closely with the senior leadership team and external professionals
- Maintain strong relationships with social workers, local authorities, families and other stakeholders
- Ensure effective recording, reporting, audits and quality assurance
- Promote a positive, child-centred and therapeutic culture within the home
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and service development
- Support the home to achieve improved Ofsted outcomes
