House Size: Multi-site responsibility across residential homes in the North West region
Location: Preston / North West Region
Salary: £65,000 per annum DOE + £3,000 Welcome Bonus + £3,600 Car Allowance + £10,000 Annual Quality & Commercial Bonus

Successful Applicants Will Have

• Significant senior management experience within the Children's Residential Care sector
• Experience managing and developing teams within a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience working with children and young people in residential care settings
• Level 5 Leadership and Management for Care Services qualification (or equivalent)
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Sound knowledge of safeguarding, compliance, and relevant children's care legislation
• Understanding of equality, diversity, anti-discrimination policies, and best practice initiatives
• Ability to drive change and motivate teams to achieve positive outcomes
• Proven track record of achieving targets and delivering results under pressure
• Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
• Commitment to providing outstanding care and support for vulnerable children and young people

Key Requirements of the Role

• Oversee the operational management of children's residential services across the North West region
• Ensure all homes remain compliant with statutory, regulatory, and legislative requirements
• Provide leadership, support, supervision, and line management to Home Managers
• Maintain high standards of care, leadership, and service delivery across all homes
• Work closely with senior management teams to support business and service objectives
• Lead on safeguarding matters and ensure the welfare and safety of children and staff
• Support admissions processes and placement targets alongside referral teams
• Ensure effective placement plans, risk assessments, and healthcare plans are in place
• Monitor service performance and manage budgets effectively
• Promote stable, competent, and motivated staff teams across all services
• Conduct training needs analysis and support workforce development initiatives
• Drive continuous improvement and maintain positive care outcomes for children and young people
• Ensure homes provide nurturing, homely environments that enable children to thrive
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support service excellence
• Support the organisation's commitment to achieving and maintaining outstanding Ofsted outcomes
