Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Children's Home Manager to join our team in Birmingham. The successful candidate will support the Children's Home Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring high-quality care and support for children and young people. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the management and leadership of the care team to provide a safe, nurturing environment.
- Implementing care plans and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Supporting staff development through training and supervision.
- Liaising with external agencies and professionals to advocate for the needs of the children.
- Managing administrative tasks and contributing to budget oversight.
- Promoting a positive culture that prioritizes the well-being and development of the children.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications in social care or child development.
- Proven experience in a similar role within a children's residential setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
