Position: Deputy Manager – Care Home
Location: Near Gillingham, Kent
Salary: Up to £37,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time
My client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join their friendly and professional care home team located near Gillingham in Kent. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for high-quality care and strong leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the care home
Lead and supervise staff to deliver outstanding care, particularly for residents living with dementia
Ensure compliance with CQC standards and regulatory requirements
Promote a positive and caring environment for residents, families, and staff
Handle staff management, training, and development
Support in care planning, audits, and maintaining high standards of clinical and personal care
Essential Requirements:
Previous experience working in a care home setting
Strong leadership and communication skills
In-depth knowledge of dementia care
Good understanding of CQC regulations and standards
Committed to delivering person-centred care
Desirable:
Previous experience in a Deputy Manager or similar leadership role
NVQ Level 4 or 5 in Health and Social Care (or working towards it)
