Dual Registered Children’s Home Manager
Location: Preston (PR1) & Prestwich (M25)
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + Bonuses
Homes: 1-bed solo EBD home and 2-bed EBD home
Salary & Benefits

What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential care.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare, or working towards with substantial progress.
- Proven experience achieving and maintaining Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards and safeguarding requirements.
- Experience managing budgets, occupancy, staffing and overall home performance.
- Ability to lead, motivate and develop management and care teams across multiple sites.
- Strong knowledge of safer recruitment, disciplinary, capability and performance management processes.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly between Preston and Prestwich.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Overall leadership and management of two children’s residential homes.
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding requirements, Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
- Lead, supervise and develop staff teams to maintain high standards of care.
- Promote stable, therapeutic environments that support young people’s development and positive outcomes.
- Manage budgets, resources, occupancy and operational performance.
- Maintain strong working relationships with local authorities and other external professionals and stakeholders.
- Oversee care planning, risk management, safeguarding and quality assurance.
- Lead continuous improvement and support the homes towards Good and ultimately Outstanding Ofsted outcomes.
- Provide consistent leadership across both services and contribute to the organisation’s long-term growth.
