Remote Occupational Health Advisor
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 – Pro-rata
Hours: Part-time, 22.5 hours per week / 3 days
Contract: Permanent
Location: Remote / Home Based
Working pattern: Monday–Friday, flexible hours
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor (OHA) to join a team in a fully remote, home-based role.
You will provide high-quality Occupational Health services to clients across the commercial sector, working independently while having access to remote clinical and operational support.
The role is ideally suited to an experienced OHA who enjoys working autonomously and delivering professional, evidence-based advice in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
You will provide a range of Occupational Health services, including:
- Management referrals – up to a maximum of 5 cases per day
- New starter clearances/screening
- Health and wellbeing support and programmes
- Conducting assessments and producing clear, robust management reports
- Maintaining accurate and confidential Occupational Health records
- Working collaboratively with clients, HR and other stakeholders
- Managing your own workload and priorities effectively
- Maintaining professional standards in line with NMC requirements and Occupational Health best practice
- Contributing to service improvement and operational initiatives
Essential requirements:
- Registered General Nurse (Level 1)
- Full Occupational Health qualification from a recognised provider at Certificate, Diploma or Degree level
- Commercial Occupational Health experience, ideally with a minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience
- Ability to work autonomously and manage your own workload
- Competent with Microsoft Office/basic IT systems
- Flexible, enthusiastic and able to demonstrate a positive, can-do approach
