Role Overview: The Paramedic Practitioner will provide advanced clinical care to a diverse patient population, working both independently and collaboratively within a team. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, both in community settings and clinical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostics.
• Provide treatment and management plans for patients, including prescribing medication when necessary.
• Offer expert advice and clinical support to patients and healthcare colleagues.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
• Participate in health promotion and disease prevention activities.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records.
• Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to the education and training of peers.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Registered Paramedic with the HCPC.
• Degree or equivalent in Paramedic Science or a related field.
• Experience in an advanced clinical role, preferably as a Paramedic Practitioner.
• Independent prescribing qualification (desirable).
• Strong clinical skills and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
