Job Advert: Paramedic - Home Visits (GP Surgery, Maidstone)
A respected GP surgery in Maidstone is seeking a compassionate and dedicated paramedic to join their team for home visit duties. This exciting opportunity offers a dynamic role, providing essential healthcare services directly to patients in their homes, as part of a supportive and collaborative healthcare environment.
Role Overview: The paramedic will be responsible for conducting home visits to patients, ensuring they receive appropriate clinical care in a timely and professional manner. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with a range of medical conditions, in collaboration with the GP team. The ideal candidate will be confident in delivering patient-centred care and will be adaptable to the needs of each patient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct home visits to patients in Maidstone, as directed by the GP surgery
- Provide clinical assessments, including physical examinations and diagnosis of medical conditions
- Administer treatment as required, ensuring safe and effective patient care
- Work closely with the GP team to ensure continuity of care for patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with legal and ethical standards
- Offer advice and support to patients and their families regarding healthcare needs
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and provide urgent care as necessary
Essential Requirements:
- Registered Paramedic with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Previous experience in a clinical setting, ideally within a community or home visit role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients
- A patient-centred approach with a focus on delivering high-quality care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for home visits
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in a GP surgery or primary care setting
- Ability to assess and manage a wide range of medical conditions
- Knowledge of local services and healthcare providers in the Maidstone area
