The Paramedic Practitioner will play a pivotal role in the assessment, treatment, and management of patients, providing expert care to individuals with a wide variety of health needs. Key Responsibilities:
• Patient Assessment & Treatment: Undertake comprehensive assessments and treatment of patients presenting with a wide variety of acute and chronic health conditions. This may include minor injuries, respiratory issues, infections, and other medical concerns.
• Clinical Autonomy: Work autonomously to make clinical decisions, providing care in a timely and effective manner. As a Paramedic Practitioner, you will have the freedom to manage your caseload and deliver care in accordance with best practice guidelines.
• Collaboration with Healthcare Professionals: Collaborate with a range of healthcare professionals, including GPs, nurses, physiotherapists, and other paramedics, to ensure the holistic care of patients. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient care plans and optimize health outcomes.
• Clinical Decision Making: Use advanced clinical skills to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients in a variety of clinical settings, ensuring that patients receive high-quality and evidence-based care.
• Patient Education & Support: Provide guidance, education, and emotional support to patients and their families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
• Record Keeping & Documentation: Ensure the accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and clinical notes in line with professional and legal requirements.
• Mentorship & Training: Support the development and training of less experienced colleagues and contribute to the continuous improvement of team skills through mentorship and clinical supervision.

Key Requirements:
• HCPC Registration: Must be a fully qualified, HCPC-registered Paramedic with significant experience in clinical practice, particularly in emergency, urgent care, or primary care settings.
• Advanced Clinical Skills: Proven ability to conduct thorough clinical assessments and manage patients with a variety of health conditions. Ability to act independently and make informed clinical decisions in high-pressure environments.
• Experience in Urgent or Emergency Care: Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care settings is highly desirable, though not essential. A background in dealing with both minor injuries and medical assessments is advantageous.
• Patient-Centered Care: A deep commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to all patients. You should be dedicated to working with patients to help them manage their health in a holistic and empowering way.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team and maintain effective relationships with patients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
• Full Driving License: A full UK driving license with access to your own vehicle is preferred to allow flexibility for home visits or attending off-site appointments.
• Commitment to Professional Development: A desire to engage in continuous learning and development, both professionally and personally, to stay up to date with industry changes and clinical advancements.

Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
• Independent Prescribing Qualification: Holding or working towards an independent prescribing qualification is highly desirable but not mandatory.
• Post-Graduate Qualification: A post-graduate qualification in Advanced Clinical Practice or a related field would be an asset.
• Minor Injury or Diagnostics Training: Additional training or experience in minor injury management or diagnostics would be an advantage and is encouraged.
• Leadership or Supervisory Experience: Experience in mentoring, training, or leading a team is beneficial, particularly in a clinical context.
