A well-established and forward-thinking GP practice in Harrow is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join their friendly and supportive team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care and a passion for working within a community-focused healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a comprehensive range of nursing services, including chronic disease management, immunizations, wound care, and health screening.
- Conduct patient assessments, including taking medical histories and supporting the diagnosis and management of conditions.
- Offer advice and support on lifestyle and health issues, such as smoking cessation, weight management, and family planning.
- Collaborate with GPs, healthcare assistants, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in line with practice protocols and NHS guidelines.
- Participate in the development and implementation of practice policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
- Previous experience in a primary care or community setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A proactive approach to professional development and a commitment to staying up-to-date with current clinical practices.
