Registered Children's Home Manager
Location: Northampton City Centre
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum plus bonuses

We are excited to announce the opening of our brand new 3-bedded EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) children's home located in the heart of Northampton. Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people, helping them to achieve their full potential.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Children's Home Manager to lead and manage our new children's home. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, and the ability to create a supportive and therapeutic environment. Experience in setting up a new home is desirable but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the children's home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of care professionals, providing supervision, support, and training.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of the children and young people.
- Ensure the home provides a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for all residents.
- Manage the home's budget, resources, and administrative tasks efficiently.
- Promote and maintain positive relationships with external agencies, families, and the local community.
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and other statutory requirements.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that reflect best practices in the care of children with EBD.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, implementing improvements where necessary.
- Handle safeguarding issues promptly and effectively, ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents.
Qualifications and Experience:
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager in a children's home or similar setting.
- Experience in setting up a new children's home is desirable but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and other relevant legislation.
- Excellent leadership, management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- A passion for working with children and young people with EBD.
